Regal GS transmission questions.

Im wondering if anyone out there knows if the supercharged 3.8l v6 from the w body buick regal gs can be longitudinaly mounted and if any of the older rwd transmissions will bolt up to these engines. if you dont know thanks for lookin lol 🙂

No blocks are way different sorry. 😢 They did put a 3.8 in some 90s camaros with a 4L60E that would fit but no supercharged.

so not even with a t56 manual trans?

so not even with a t56 manual trans?
There is no motor mount lugs on the transverse engine And the oil filter adapter would be in the way. to fit in a RWD body.
There are no mounting holes in the ft of the heads for the accessories to mount. The starter is on the wrong side also

hmmm, i understand completly now thanks!, i guess i cant escape the inevitability of the sbc swap lol! :lol:

You will probably be happier with the 350 any way.
 
there is one RWD that runs a 3800 Series II L67 Supercharged engine that was run in the w bodies...the 1996-2004 Holden Commodore VS (series II)

W bodies are ft wheel drive,Holden's being rear wheel drive, are sold in Australia that could be a bit of a problem :shock:

it may be a problem but I was just trying the help veryregal ``escape the inevitability of the sbc swap``.... :lol:
