I did your exact setup to a T. I am running a 72 350. Here is what I would do if I were you.

Look at some of my posts.I did have a gforce at first, then moved to a iceman. I also ran down pipes from TA performance.....that worked very very well. But decided to try the Hooker Headers and they worked too!!

What ignition set up did you use? I have on the original points style with an external coil. And would like something more modern and factory looking an of course reliable.

I upgraded to the Accell HEI with mechanical and vacuum advance. Took a coil pack from a 3.8 buick and it works great.
