Relocating ECM question

That plug full of wires in the firewall is just a big grommet and if I remember correctly either had sealant or was molded around the wires for a waterproof seal. If you decide to pull the wires through doublecheck later to see if it leaks water. I had a leak there before I yanked the whole mess out and welded that hole shut.

another thing is even without the ECM there there is very little room behind a stock kick panel to install a speaker and on the drivers side you have the parking brake covering the kick panel...there are modified door panels to install a speaker at the lower front of the door panel you might consider instead of speakers in the kick panel. I custom fitted Infinity kappa 6.5 component speakers on the lower door panel close to the front using aftermarket kick panels fabricated for a mustang and they worked out pretty good...
