I'll take Silverados rotting away over Frod electrical gremlins any day. My neighbor's employee had some intermittent rear lights on his '15 F150. He found a ground burned in the rear harness plug, but didn't know what to do about it. I cut it out of the plug on the light side, soldered a piece on, and tapped it to the factory trailer ground (10 ga. wire). Problem solved. Take heed F150 owners, you may not have any rear lights!

2 buddies of mine had a similar problem with their C6 vettes on the electric fans. They like to burn the plug up, too. Soldered those in with additional grounds as well.
WTH are the electrical engineers doing theses days? It's like current draw is a foreign concept!

As if I'd really need another reason NEVER to buy an Fn150

There should be grounds every foot on new vehicles. With all the electronic's on new vehicles, it should be priority one or bad things happen.

Unfortunately it's not just Fords

The newer Fords blower fan harness is a known issue especially on fleet vehicles the plug and harness melt.

GM had the same issue like you mentioned happened to GM with the Vette and Impalas.

American cars buying China built and supplied harnesses.

Although a GM person I bought a 2015 Ford and and extremely happy with it. V 10 has great torque.

Ford engineering has stepped up their game in recent years. I too have always been a GM guy but next car for the wife will be a 17'-18' Lincoln.
I work with Ford engineering team directly every day. They are sticklers for detail, chase issues and spend money for corrections
that other OEM's would ignore.....German OEM's are a nightmare!

If I had to choose a truck it would be a tough choice between an Ecoboost Ford or Chevy. The Dodge is a disposable truck and the cheaper option that a lot of people settle on. I would buy a Toyota before the Dodge.

Well, did anyone see the recall on F150's? Guess the seat belts catch on fire in an accident... LMAO

2017 and 2018 F150's that were built in Dearborn have a recall, seems the charge in the seatbelt can omit sparks which can cause the "flammable" insulation in the B pillar to catch fire. .....:wtf:

I just caught the seat belt/fire issue on the news, go saftey. As for the wires all of them use cheap, poor quality, inferior materials for what they call copper wires. My old '08 Silverado had corrosion issues with wires & the main fuse box. It couldn't go past a water drop with out some sort of a short.
