you have to run spacers to clear the inner lip and 1/2 - 1'' is the range you should go with. Your determination to go 5" is perplexing bc w/o a raised suspension clearly the tires might smack into the outside fender lip in a difficult driving situation... Also, the MC SS is very close but not exactly the same so dont use it as a reference point. I have 17x7.5 on a 88 brougham and I need to put about 1/2''- 1'' spacers on mine but I can guarantee 5'' is a bad idea and also it will look very bad too... Any more than 2'' of spacing wont compliment your car
