I want to put 20" chrome rims on my 84 Cutlass supreme brougham 4dr. She is all stock. I have been told that best tire size is 245 40 20 for 20x8" Irocs. I was wondering if 20x9 irocs would look better? If I were to get 20x9", what tire size should I use? The rims I am looking at have 0mm offset.

20x8" vs 20x9" Which should I go for?

im not that good with offsets and such but for the 20x8s a 245 would work well and shouldnt rub (depends on the wheel though) But a 20x9, the basic tire width is a 275 maybe a 255 if you want that "flush" or "stretched" look. But running 275s can be tricky not only in the front but the rear as well. Depending on the model of the gbody, rim dimensions and even some brands of tires are skinnier/wider than others even though they are the same size dimensions.

Well i have 22 inch rims and my tire 22x8 and 245/30/22 and i had to make a little cut at the fender..no more than 1 in tho...so if u running 20" rocs or any other rim u should be koo with 245/35/20 or if u want that low pro tire then go with 30 series like mine...hope this helps.. heres a pic, they fit perfrect

I think I would go for the "flush" "stretched look"

First I need to decide whether I should go with 20x8" 20x8.5" or 20x9" and then I will need someone to tell me which offset I would need.

I would rather go with 22" rims but I was told I would have to upgrade suspension. If I could just put some 22's on there without upgrading my suspension that would be good.

I think that 22's pop out and look better than 20's. I think I'm gonna try 22's instead. That two inches just makes all the difference.
