When I was at the parts show back in the summer, I saw a rochester e2me carb that a guy had for sale, he said he wanted $10. I figured for that price, I couldn't go wrong. So I bought it, and now in February, I am finally getting around to rebuilding it. When I cracked it open today, I immediately noticed the gaskets all looked brand new. The float looked new too, as did the float pin and seat. However, some screws were missing, as were a few springs, and the springs that were there looked shitty. I figure someone along the way took a shitty carb that had been sitting out, attempted to rebuild it, and realized halfway through they had no idea what they were doing, so they slipped it back together, and then sold it to me. My question, is will I be able to find reproductions of these missing screws and internal springs? If so, who sells them? Also, does anyone know of a good, inexpensive carb/parts soak? Thanks,

Is that the 2bbl? I have the dual jet and I'm sure you could just pirate what you need from that even if its the 4bbl. But on a side note chem dip is a great parts soak and it's relatively cheap.

As I get further and further into it, I find more and more parts missing... I will need a whole 'nother carb just to fix this one. It's starting to look like a lost cause.
