I know there are a ton of threads about the 800 series steering box swap, but I could not find a clear answer.

I have a 1978 Buick Regal a 605 steering box with a early Saginaw power steering pump, (flared fittings and lines) I have bought an 800 series pump, pitman arm and o-ring lines. What pressure line fitting do I need to thread into the back of the pump to accept the o-ring line?

part in question attached.

Thanks

I think you need these-
They are made to run a flared fitting box with O-ring hoses I think. I had a similar problem to yours (O-ring box and flared P/S pump). It's been a while, but I think I used only one of these at the pump and new 86 Monte Carlo hoses. Seems like there was something I didn't like about it, like maybe the threads were too long and I cut them shorter??? Been on my car a few years now with no problems.

Those look like they are the opposite of what I need. I'd like to not run an adapter and just get the O-ring fitting for the back of the pump if possible. These should be stock on 80's g-bodys?

You could always just go to the junkyard and get the fitting off just about any 80’s gm with the later o ring style lines.
