Hello all, I have a question about swapping my engine. I have an '82 "Gutlass" with a 231/TH350C in it, computer removed. I'm planning on swapping in a small-block Buick V8, as it's the most similar to my Buick V6. If I were to put a mid-70's Buick 350 in my car, can I use the original V6 torque converter? If not, what torque converter do I use? The other question is motor mounts. I have a brand new set of motor mounts for my car, but I don't want to put them in until I have an Buick V8 in my car. Can I even use the Buick V6 mounts on a Buick V8? or do I need to take V8 mounts from another car? Any information is great, thanks in advance

The v6 parts will bolt up to the sbb 350. Even the timing chain cover/water pump will fit.

Like 81Regal said, everything from the v6 will bolt up. same mounts. The stock converter is fine. The v6 is basically a Buick small block minus 2 cylinders. Remember to change the front coil springs. 😉
