I've done a little more work tuning and setting things up. This thing is more than I thought. I took it up the street it ate the tires very easily. It spun up to 8300 rms really quick. If I didnt see it with my own eyes I would say bull crap. I let off because it scared me a little to see those R's. I got the car weighed, Car alone is 3048. I will take it to the track in the spring after several other adjustments and changes. I think this engine will be very surprising. I will be installing nitrous first with a 100 then 150. After driving it this last time I would believe the car to be an honest low 13 second car on motor if lucky better. I am now hoping to see mid to low 11's on nitrous. The picture if the day before I took it for the first drive. Hope everyone likes it.

It's been a little while. I installed my Nitrous Express mainline kit with WOT switch. First I have installed the 100hp jets. I got a new mechanical pump that is 115 gph @ 6 psi but ranges from 6-8 psi. I talked to NX about there kit and they said they test all their kits with NGK plugs. They gave me NGK's number and I told them everything I've got they told me what plugs I needed and I ordered them. (NGK UR-6 R5674-7) for the 100-150 jets then the (UR-6 R5674-8) for the 150-200 jets. They said to try both and with the 150 jets and see which one makes better power. I am running 108 octane fuel. I will be taking it to RDP Motorsports in Perry Ohio for the dyno tune. I plan to video record it to put it on YouTube. I will be showing how well this shunned little engine can do. It may not be the fastest thing but I think it is one of the Coolest, so many people hop up little engines because it is what they have (305 since they came in everything). That's how most people start so why not learn a little with what you have. I hope to see more people look into trying this kind of builds or hop ups... I will keep this going till everything is done and I make some passes at the track, I will post videos of that as well.
Thank You.
If This engine is making 325-350 HP (guessing) then 150 jets should make around 475-500 HP (around 380 rwhp) current weight is 3020lbs w/ me in it. Should run close to 11.50 et's. That is respectable in any book. Around 12.90 et's N/A.

I really wanna see some videos of this engine! Sounds like a cool idea and a nice break from the same old 383 stroker builds

Did some engine only test runs and lost a cam lobe. Going to full roller. Have to replace all the bearings and inspect all the parts. Also shaving a little more off the heads for a 10.5:1 or more compression. Trying to loose more weight. Any other advise with out changing the engine that may help me get down the track faster would help a lot. Hoping the engine makes just around 350-375hp n/a then 150 hit of nitrous. So we will see.
A few photos to what I have going on. Hope everyone likes what they see.

Also did my brother in laws .030 over 307 (311ci, "CHEAP" ebay engine kit) mild cam and my well worked 416 heads with port matched performer rpm intake, we put it in his 85 Cutlass. Its fun and quick should do high 13's with no problem on street tires even though it spins them really easy.

HAVE FAITH IN THE LITTLE SBC'S!

Thanks, I hope more people become interested. I have been getting more and more people around my area trying things like this. I hope to have a group of G-Body people racing at our local track sometime this year or next. There are so many in my area now. My local track is Thompson Raceway Park in Thompson Ohio.
