SBC ROTOR BUTTON????'S

Are all small block Chevy rotor buttons the same as putting out the same power of voltage or whatever because I was running the MSD 84101 and the screws backed off and I was wondering is a regular rotor button the same or what is the best rotor button for HEI small block Chevy distributor?THANKS

Never really seen much difference in them. Almost all basic replacement ones were about the same back when they all were USA made (could swore on outfit made them for every body.) With performance/premuim ones they may vary based on what the company speced what (in their eyes) what made it a performer with materials used. With so much Chinesium crap out there (basic or performance) its hard to judge. The main parts would be the brush & cap contacts that I've seen any rear differences between brands/lines. I used to run Mallory HEI caps & rotor sets & loved the quality. Now I have a Chinesuim MSD set on the engine for atleast break in.

yeah it's like everything is made in China now even MSD so I guess all of them are the same

MSD does have low resistant carbon buttons designed for use with a CD box
