He doesn't need our permission and never has to ask. I never said he needed to ask. It's like OnStar. Once the event happens, then you get the text.

I guess since I didn't put down the details of how the commitment took place so I can see how you could interpret that it was babysitting. He originally suggested to us, on his own, to let us know if he writes a significant check or if he took $100 out he'd let us know first. I suggested if doing that we set the amount at $500 (didn't want him calling us every other day/week perhaps?), and my wife agreed. He'll call her if he does, but it's a heads up call, like if he needed to put new tires on his car or truck or something like that. So my wife won't freak out if she gets an alert. He's normally chincy so at $500, we likely would never get a call from him about a big withdrawal under normal circumstances. We didn't make him to do anything. And she didn't tell him the $ alert level she set up.

He asked for guidance to give him peace of mind I guess. I just wanted peace of mind too, hence the suggested increase to $500 if he wanted to give us a heads up. We're only going to be alerted if he pulls a chunk of money at one time. It's really more of a fail safe. He can go take, say, $50 out at a time and we'd never know. Nobody wants to see a family member get taken for a ride by some azzwipe scammers for a truckload of cash. But if he wants to go buy opium and 'ho's and other ill shiit, that's his business. I really don't want any part of this, but I'm married to his sister and if she ain't happy, then I ain't going to be.

Really, the main focus of all this was not to air family issues. It was to alert people that while everyone is in disbelief that anyone could fall for such glaringly suspicious actions by phone scammers, it can hit close to home at any time. And if there's someone you know that's fell victim to it, you get to experience the emotional rollercoaster of not just the victim, but everyone around them and trying to put the pieces back together. Nobody died, but dang if having to go through all this crap is frustrating as hell for everyone.

Oh her stupidity definitely helped her become an ex, sadly this was something that was done while we were married. Found a dog online, little ankle bitter kind, sent money to this guy in Africa (no big red flag there or anything) who was going to "ship" it over to her. Then he needed more for shipping, then it got "stuck" in quarantine and needed more money. I finally stopped her and said enough was enough after 6 or 700 in money to this guy and told her it was a scam. Never saw a dime of that back of course.

I hope that imaginary dog gave those mofos fleas...and bit them. Repeatedly.
