sensor in exhaust manifold of v6 grand prix

I was changing tie rods the other day and noticed that there was a broken sensor that went into my manifold causing an exhaust leak. the sensor is on the passenger side and probes the manifold. i was just wondering what it was so i could replace it.

o2 sensor most likely. Cheap part but are fragile and break a lot

after looking at it it did not look like an o2 sensor looked more like some sort of exhaust temp probe for a check engine or something but i cant find any information on anything like that.

Believe it or not they did have O2 sensors... didn't do much though. If it's an '86 or '87 then it may even have a TBI 4.3.

Like everyone else said 02 sensor. My GP has one as well.
