I’m hitting a JY this week to pick up a serpentine bracket and accessory setup for the gen 1 350.

I literally have any setup available to me. 85 corvette, f-body, s-10, 1992-1993 b-body, full size truck/express van. Which of these has the most durable idler/tensioner setup? It looks like the newer s-10s and full size trucks keep the accessories in the same locations as the v-belt stuff in the Monte is, so I’m leaning towards those.

Opinions appreciated.

I have a 92 F-Body set up it works great.

The only one I would not recommend it the early 88 and possibly into 1989 Chevy trucks and van they have steel brackets and a thin belt they did not work well

My system is off a 94ish Silverado with tbi injection. Works like a charm

I had that exact same setup 2 monte’s ago, although I never got the a/c working right. Supposedly the r4 compressor doesn’t work well with r134a (although the coldest a/c I ever had was an r134a converted 93 Buick road master.

What are you doing for a condenser? F-body?

I have the same thing....does work perfect, the only problem I have had is a water pump I got from Napa with the right part number had the wrong impeller in it to work with rotating left...

Just a guess, but I'd say they use the exact same tensioner spring.

Yes and a shortened F-Body hose set.
