Hi i have been getting parts for a serpentine system and i think i have everything figured out. Except for the alternator wiring i read some threads on it but im confused. I know there is a adaptor for the plug an my truck didnt have a factory guage. When i got the set up i grabed the plug for the alternator so i could splice it in. That was befor i knew how much was involved so i will just get the adaptor but the plug i got only has 1 wire on it and the adaptor looks like it has more than that. Is it right? I just want to make sure i get all the right parts for the swap befor i start. I drive the truck daily an dont want to be waiting for parts. With the adaptor harness is it all plug and play or do i need to do more wiring? Any help is appreciated thanks.

Yes that looks just like what i have but when i click the instructions it keeps asking me to download the instructions when i try to download them the same window keeps coming up asking to open the file or save it and wont let me do eather but thanks again for trying
Ok i think i almost got this figured out i found how to wire the plug myself but i keep reading about 4 wires on the plug and i only need to use 2. The plug i got wile at the junkyard only has 1 wire and i can see that thats all it ever had. Did i just grab one from a different kind of alternator? Eather way i am still thinking of getting the adaptor instead of wiring myself. But im wondering, i pulled the dummy light from the dash when i put a guage in the truck would i be ok to just get the harness with the resistor in it an leave the light out? Or should i get the one without the resistor an put the buld back in? Thanks for help.
