Snapped this picture of my pups basking in the last remnants of summer the other day. The black one by the dreadmill is 12 and the brown one in front is 13 and starting to have some serious health problems. I'm thankful they have been great companions this long, but am not looking forward to the day they are no longer around. They were my sidekicks before kids, before a wife, hell before I even had a garage to wrench on my cars in!

Any other members have trusty shop hands?

Nice shop!

yup. My kids got a family dog that bonded with me ( likely because I walked, fed and picked up the crap ). They felt she was lonely so they got her a companion that bonded with my wife. 13 years later they come to work almost daily. Jack Russell Cocker Spaniel Cross for both. The older female is smart as can be and the boss when I am not around. The younger male has 12 lbs on the female, he's dumb as a post and the b*tch of the two. LOL

I don't have a dog... but my buddy who was kind enough to let me use his shop for 3 years does...

Ziggy is a terrible helper, but he's good company... and I only had to sand a few rusty nose prints off the bare metal lol

Tucker is 10 1/2 this year, and while he's not really a shop dog (doesn't like all the loud noises daddy makes in the garage), he's been my steadfast companion and faithful friend through many difficult times with me.

Former shop dog. She would make that face every time I tried to pick her up. Some sort to Boxer Mastiff blend. Didn't really like to be in the shop all that much but hung around just outside the door.

Current shop dog belongs to my daughter but I have her during the school year. Quality preowned Pit. Sweet as can be but dumber than a box of hammers. Will do anything for a piece of cheese. No help at all in the shop but good at "keeping me safe" -- or at least thats her intent. Just wants to be where I am, wherever that may be. Primarily just a comfort seeking missle.
Taking advantage of my mom's hospitality during a BBQ.

Both were shelter dogs which is always a crapshoot. First dog was awesome! Great, mellow personality and an uncanny ability to read people. Really miss her.
This current one is pretty well behaved but more on the stubborn side. Definitely higher anxiety too. Still like her but she tries my patience. They have similar coloring but that's where the similarity ends.
