Its a 1980 Monte Carlo Its a one year only. From what I read the are a gutless engine combination. I would look for a GN and or a "T" type .And there is a choice of building your own.

Well, they made em both in 80 and 81, so I guess it's one-year-only for each body style at least. Neither was a powerhouse, that is correct. It's been a while but the 81s miģhtve ditched the black box in favor of ecm control.

What

only if it’s a 390 powered bird

Not a whole lot of money in those T-Birds... Oddly enough...

Ive come across 390 powered early-mis 60's for less than $4k... barn finds... all originals, rust free... complete.

I had come across so many, I did contemplate getting one if I couldn't find the GP I wanted, but...

I think they would be pretty cool decked out as a street rod. Then again, coming from a guy who thinks the 74-78 Hatchback Mustangs would be fun with a 302 and a 4 speed.... :)

'64 Landau.. 390. Driver. Pretty nice. $7700

See what I mean? Just isn't money there for them.

That thing is cool only because I have one. They are different, but not awesome. 80 is a better engine than 81+,but both suck. 80- no computer control. Timing retard box is below the dash. 81+ computer controlled carb and retard box is on the fan sroud. 81 Monte is a rare bird. 80 not so much. If any one had questions? I can get you an answer.
