Mike - sometime in the future can you get a measurement from your frame to the fender. I'm curious if the Monte has more room than my Regal. Mine measures 11.5 inches and there is no way I can fit a 10.5 or a 10.0 under my car (it has a 13.2in cross section) It should be on a 10 in rim (9 min.) if that makes a difference. Sleeper speed way tires are usually 27 in. The max I could put on mine was 29.5/ 9/ 15 and that was tight

Understood. Auburn gears with HD axles. Street tires won't hook up anyway. If break it with slicks, I'll go bigger. My concern is back spacing & clearance.

Right side airbag and a rear swaybar, 275/60 drag radials would be good for 1.6 60 fts and you can actually drive it on the street.

8" wheel with 4" backspacing puts a tall 9" slick in the right spot. You can run a 10" slick with 3.5" BS (or 4" and a shim), but you will have fender lip interference and will have to jack the back end up.

I’ve had good sucess with a 26”x9” Hoosier on a 15”x8” with 4” backspacing. I’ve seen a lot of other people run this setup, I think its a cheap recipe for sucess on any G body.

Sure can. I've also had 325/40R17s M&Hs on 9.5" wide wheels on the back of that car; granted those tires ran narrow.

I do believe the Montes have box flared fenders which helps make space.

That said, a Lemans has really wide flared arches, which when rolled makes for more space. Thats how the 345s on our wagon worked out.
