Solid motor mounts

Yes, I was serious. Looking for voice of experience here. And I see you're using a poly trans mount.

I have solid Moroso's in the wagon with adapter plates. The Monte has MetalTek polyurethane units in it.

I cannot tell the difference to be honest.

I haven't driven it more than a couple laps around the parking lot at work, and I don't have a big cam.

But it seems to be pretty smooth at idle I don't notice any excessive vibration. I have a poly trans mount, a solid mounted transmission crossmember, and poly body mounts.

If you are going to run solid why not just go with a front plate and a mid plate? I don't know what kind of hp your looking at but mounting in the stock location can lead to distortion in the block. I just put them in mine, I used plates from s&w race cars and made my own travel limiters.

After breaking the stock style I went to buy solid with intentions of only putting it on the drivers side since that’s really the only side that needs it. Well literally everyone was out of stock so I made my own using the old rubber one as a template. Was really easy.

Plates are tough to work around on turbo cars that are street cars. All of the exhaust plumbing going forward is demanding. The block won’t distort for the power we are making. It’s not stock - World Motown LS.

Ya, thats a lot of plumbing going around. I attached a picture of mine so you can see what its like. I'm still working on the engine bay, I need to clean up the wiring and fuel lines. To mount the plats the only things I did was to clearance for the steering and move one of the brake lines.
