The only 8 cylinder motor available in the 82 was the olds diesel (US models) so it's probably a 231 Buick😂 🤣
Yeah, does that make it "rare"?
Agreed. Probably has a 6 cylinder. If not, then a 301. I think $3k would be a decent deal. I may contact him and throw that out there. I'll, at least, ask for more details...
I asked the seller a bunch of questions. Here is the text of my email.

"Hi there!
My name is Joe and I am interested in your car, but before I make the drive from Palm Bay/Melbourne, I have a few questions.
What engine? V6? Or Chevy 305 V8 or Olds 307 V8?
You said it has A/C. Dies it work? Blow cold? Been converted from R12?
What size are those rims? 14"?
Do you have any pics of under the hood? Can you get a few?
Are there any rust issues at the bottom inside of the doors? How about the rear frame rails behind the back tires?
Any other rust issues?
Are there any cracks in the vinyl dash?
Car looks really nice in the pics.
I am really looking for a clean example of these cars to put together a nice cruiser and I want to start with something decent that doesn't require much work to get it where I want it.
Thanks!"
He then responded and barely answered the A/C questions and stated the engine. The rust question was a vague answer. The rest he ignored. Here is his response:

Has a 4.3 fuel injection v6 . I can’t really find any rust . Car is a Fl car . I’m the second owner . I bought IT from the orig owner in Tampa about a year and half ago . Call or text any time."
Here is a crappy pic of the engine he took. Chevy 4.3 TBI V6.

If it is as nice as he thinks it is, it would be a great candidate for an LSx.
