Do the GM crate motors line up with our cars holes or do they need to be modded?Congrats on getting a new toy.
As far as an engine swap you might want to consider a GM crate motor. 350/330 for not a ton of money and a warranty to boot. I had one built for my 81 and bought a crate for my wagon and the crate was much easier and I had it in 3 days right from the local Chevy dealer. They were even cheaper than Summit
A GM (Chevy) crate motor just drop in like the stock SBC's did. The frame will have the needed holes. Just watch on the engine side mount brackets cause they all fo look the same but have different variances for how high/low they make the engine sit in the engine bay. The '73-'88 A/G-bodies, '77-'90 B-bodies used them can't remember the p/n off hand. Others here can help out on them.Do the GM crate motors line up with our cars holes or do they need to be modded?
