Hello all I found this site while in Afghanistan in 2010 and joined. I was on from time to time and now I thought would be a good time to introduce myself. I'm not new to g-bodys however. Currently I own a 85 Monte SS and an 80 ElCamino that was built for my wife. Both sit on 20" Irocs. Will post pics soon.

This is how the Elco looked when I bought it. My wife was torn between a 60's mustang and an Elcamino so I scooped this from my cousin who had owned it for about 20yrs. It feels really good when we cruise together.

The SS now has A headliner and a Grand Prix Console. My shifter cable broke and I found a new one for 100.00 so I decided to add a B&M megashifter and didnt like it so I changed the complete console and shifter from a 2005 GP and used the B&M shifter cable. I also added a mirror from an avalanche with temp and compass, thanks to T-Top Tony and Elco Warren's youtube videos. Everything was done last year after I returned from Afghanistan.
And yes that temp was correct. This year Ive seen it go to 112 here in TX. Oh and the tint on the back window has been changed.
