Speedo cables 79 elky g body

Did the speedo work prior to you taking it apart, or are you in the midst of troubleshooting it?
You can test the cables using a cordless (or corded) drill.
Yes it worked fine,I looked at them both,the larger one the cable (metal )sticks out but the smaller one (plastic) doesn't stick out much I just may do what you did ,elemate the sys !

I'd say before eliminating the system, try to figure out what's wrong with it. It may be an easy fix. As long as all the components are still there.

Found transducer is dragging and snapped the cable end (plastic end),took apart lubed still drags,lookin for one now !
