We are not on the same page. When I pop a 17 tooth drive gear into the formula I get a 39 tooth driven gear. When I pop a 45 tooth driven gear in I get a 19 tooth drive gear. How do you get 17/45? I used 1000 rpm, 26.10" tire, 3:42 gears. Also I see only housings that go to a 43 tooth gear. Will a 45 fit? I don't know.
Using TCI's calculator. 17 tooth drive gear gives me a 44.88 tooth driven.

There are 2 housings, 39 and below and 40-45. That ebay link I put for the 17-45 has the housing as well.

And that calculator doesn't work at all for me. I get NaN in the box. Oh well.
