Springs / Shocks

Hi..I have an 84 SS Monte, and just picked up some belltech 2'' drop spindles. Do I have to change the springs and or shocks to prevent bottoming out? Do they have to be stiffer since the tire is further up in the wheel well, and so my headers dont hit? Thanks I appreciate it!

How close to the ground are/were your headers before the 2" spindles?

In my experience, lowered car + headers + old springs and shocks = flat bottomed headers.

I would get new springs if it was my car.

I guess what I need to know is what springs to get that are the same as factory only stiffer?
