i was gonna go with lowering springs, until i saw that moog spring page.

i'm def going for those now.

New plan

Those springs are complete crap! They are totally unsafe. If you go over a bump and get a little air born they would fall right out (not that I plan on driving it that way). The springs are stiff as hell. Sorry I didn't get any picks but without any interior, tailgate or rear glass a 26" tall tire was covered up by about a half inch. I took them out and will be sending them back. OPG springs are on back order. I thought I would roll the dice and try and save a little bit since OPG's are back ordered. I will try Autozone Moog equivalant springs. 5385 rear (suppose to be about 2") and 5658 Front. I am running a heavier pontiac 400 not a SBC. This spring is suppose to lower somewhere around .5 inch with SBC so I figure maybe .75 with the Poncho 400. I'll add a Howe lower ball joint to gain another .75 inch. After that if not low enough I'll start cutting coils. If I have to do this I doubt I'll have to remove much. Trying to stay on a budget so I saw a post that someone was actually happy with Gabriel shocks. I may try those!

for shocks I'm running afco gas, extra heavy valving in the front (#7) and medium valve in the rear (#5)...The shocks are real nice and alot better than the any other shock I have tried.. ...the 4 cost me $394 up here in Canada so they be around $250 for you guys south of the border

wow, I just measured the spring rate on those springtech's. 592lbs/in on the front and 250lbs/in on the rear. No wonder the rears are so short with that kind of rate they'll barely sag at all.

I used a loadcell at work so the numbers are fairly accurate, and it was from freelength to 1", I didn't want to go to 2" for fear of the spring flying across the shop

the spring rate for the front isn't bad but as far as the back goes that's what we used in our metric circle track car on the RR.....it's far too much for a street car....we tied the spring in place so it wouldn't fall out during a tire change

ya, thats crazy.....makes you wonder how the hell that company is getting away with selling these springs, must be alot of people out there that have purchased a set. I got them cheap from a friend so I'm not too pissed. I'm surprised there isn't more negative talk about them online.

If your stuck with the rears find a local circle track and place an add in their classified section
