Does that mean you got his rent for a month in exchange for your engine? You know, as a "favah"? Fahgitaboutit!
No I'm giving him the blown up 454 in my shed for the work. The rented spots could be me getting my 87 Cutlass closer to home at a place I can work on it. I need to see what it's going to cost though. If a spot is cheap I'll put all my g's in one spot lol

So another roadkill weekend with mixed results I started tearing down the 454 with the builder and found some intriguing things. Apparently it's a hodgepodge motor that was built by someone it had aftermarket head bolts and a performer intake some old parts that were once orange and some newer stuff not a Virgin by any means. After removing the carb and valve covers I had high hopes for it

Nice and clean no sludge. At this point I'm thinking gaskets and go!

Then we pulled a head that's when the rollercoaster went the other way FAST!

The #7 has left the rotation! It was smashed into the head and jammed crooked in the boar we didn't go any further Free that except to turn the crank witch turns quite nicely but #7 doesn't move with it also there's valve damage to that head

So now I wait he said give him a few days maybe he will finde another one or hammer that bad piston out and put a used one in from the block I gave him but I'd need to investigate further first.
That's it for progress but In other news the rear main seal let go in the 350 and it's got a crack in the flexplate so there will be no towing until it gets a motor
