Like I said as soon as I got some good weather I was going to start changing the look of this thing so after work I broak out the harbor freight spray gun and shot the new vallance in my dirt driveway

I was worried but I like it

I really wanted to start putting some parts on not just because I want the truck done but to make some room around here. Ever sense I got it I've wanted to put the old round headlights in it so I've been collecting parts to do just that. Moste of them are just used parts I scrounged up in my travels and not even driver quality but I made it work. The bezels we're very rough so to make them a little bit better I blacked out the Argent silver area.

It won't do anything for the pealing Chrome but it dose hide some pits.
Next I duge out the headlights 7" round composites from a Jeep Wrangler they fit the buckets I got from my cousin perfect

Notice the bezel in the picture closest is bent it was on my blazer when I hit a deer 25 years ago and needed some forse fitting. I also never knew before today the parking lights are left and right but the backs are the same. Well needless to say I had 2 lefts lol 3 actually 2 Amber 1 clear. The clear 1 was broken so I cut a pice off it and got Lauren's testers glue to fix the Amber one that was broken. Now it's a right....kinda I still need one but it beats a blank

You can see the passenger side parking light just doesn't look right ... 2 lefts don't make a right. But it beats a blank for now

I didn't get to that oil pressure sensor but I did take it on the longest ride yet. I went out to my buddy Pat's house in Jackson about 25 minutes each way all 45 and 50 mph roads. Once I was off my normal pot hole slalom streets I must say it road and drove very nicely. I am really starting to Gaine some faith in it. So I finally gave pat his little dc stick welder back that I used for the king pins with the ni99 rods it was worth the trip to he gave me the first of 2 nos gm back doors I'm siked! Can't wait to paint them.
