i use to own a 84 cadillac eldorado biaritz, very very nice ride. the thing that made this car, or the biaritz in general, was that the car besides many other special options had a stainless steel roof the stretched from the end of the vinyl roof to almost the edge of the wishield. anyways in my many many years searching salvage yards i at a few points in time would find a g body car that had a stainless steel quarter roof cover that pretty much sat where you would normally see the vinyl top. has anybody else seen these?? were they factory or maybe dealer installed??? i dont know if i would put one on my car but if i find another one i am going to snag it. i am going to search for pictures tonight

Can't say I've ever seen a full or even 1/4 stainless roof on a G-body. Don't know what trim option that would have been for any of them.
The closest I've seen was the '80 Cutlass W-19(?) that had a trim panel that ran by the 1/4" windows and over the roofline. Can't find a pic of one at the moment.

Wow, I thought I had seen everything! That's pretty nice. Probably a "regional dealers" conversion model, not an individual custom job, cause more than one has been seen...duh.
i think they are actually a factory option. the trim work from what i remember looked to be gm but i may be wrong. i am going to start watching for one, i have seen them in the salvage yard several times. first time i saw one i must have stood there for 5 minutes wondering if i was really seeing it.
