Nobody believes me when I tell them I have never seen anything other than episode 4..
It was awesome for the day (Pretty sure I saw it 3 times that opening week, in the OLD theatre) , but I never really got deep into it.
I believe it. The wife has seen most of the ones with me since we met as they released them, but she has very little interest in the movies or any of it. I'm not a geek about it either, but I always know that movies are escapes from the mundane normal life. It's just that I reflected on the fact it's taken 42 years, but I saw every new release of the franchise at the movie theatre. Not man
So I just go strictly to be entertained. I don't do much deep analysis on any of them. They have their flaws and good moments no matter what genre. Star Wars is one of those things that you always remember that this "happened" a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. If it's not in my time zone, I'm not likely to be affected by it.
🙂 If the movie makes me THINK it's plausible in movie land, then I'm ok with it. If it sucks, you'll know it right away. I accept most movies, flaws and all. Star Wars movies are simply seen as fun to me and never worthy of acting awards. Not real, don't care, and it's not going to affect my life. I don't go to comic cons or any of that rot, but I understand why some people do.
I've always been enamored with Darth Vader, though. Just because of his coolness in exacting the dark side of the force on people he disagrees with. But as a real villain, he's sorta lame. I mean, he killed much more viciously as Anakin Skywalker before he actually became the mechanical monster in the
Grand National paint job. What, he killed maybe a few people as Darth Vader we witnessed in the movie franchise in which he was shown? But, he's got swagger. And a cape. Can't go wrong with that cape.
