Thanks again man. I appreciate your help and information regarding BAP, part #'s, etc. . I think I will purchase a new QR unit from them. Probably the main difference between the '79 Malibu box and the '86 Monte Carlo, other than them being 2.5 LTL, would be that earlier box uses flared end fittings with brass inserts, where as the later box uses the O-ring type fittings.
