I acquired a tilt wheel from an 86 Monte SS. The turn signal stem is broke off. How big a job is it to replace the turn signal lever?
Thanks

There is a square looking piece where the lever should be. Does the lever stick down in the odd shaped hole? I know this sounds ignorant as H"""" but I'm trying to learn. Is it not necessary to run wires when you replace the turn signal lever with cruise, delay, etc.

There's a key on the lever that you need to align when installing the lever. It's easy to install, you just push the new lever in place and it'll lock in place. The wires don't need to be connected if you don't want to use cruise control. There are a couple of different wiring harnesses so if you ever do make sure the wires on the new lever are the same as the original.

are you sure its not the dimmer switch actuator that's broke? That is the piece that the turn signal switch slips into and if it's broke ... replacement is a chore. Trust me I got one that needs to be replaced.
