Part of my idea for installing a competition sound system in my 87 El Camino involves some demo work. My friend's idea is to cut a hole through the steel of the bed, right above where the storage space is behind the interior curtain. This is (2) 12" would be installed. My question, if anyone knows, is if cutting the hole in that spot would create any structural issues with the frame of the car. Any feedback is greatly appreciated

as long as you dont cut it all out you should be fine, if it were me I would add all the frame braces I could get ahold of.

I have a buddy that did it to his. You'll be fine. Are you just cutting ports or the whole wall???
