First time seeing the Hurst line of wheels. Pretty nice! I like the Hurst Stunner New Version myself.

It's a good point about the aftermarket and Olds wheels. Year One has Billet Buick, Chevy, Chrysler, Magnum and Pontiac wheels. They show the Magnum under the Olds tab, but that wheel was used on several 60's GM muscle cars. You don't see any SSI, SSII or SSIII wheels. What gives??

Oldsofb, every time I see your avatar pic, I think it looks like a Crown Vic! It must be the lighting.

Maybe I should change it. I don't want people slowing their web surfing because they think a cop is in the rear view mirror

Thank you for the insight! Yes, I was referring to the stock, rare optioned, aluminum ones available from 78-80. Stock on the '79 Hurst and '80 442. They look amazing, but far too tiny to allow any substantial performance upgrades. Leno said he likes 16 inch wheels on old GM muscle, because they are only a little bigger than stock, so they are not obvious, but allow larger brake upgrades, better tire handling options, and retain a stock look without having going to a huge wheel with a super low profile tire.

However, I had no idea they would cost around $3000 a piece! Those Hurst wheels look nice, but not stock. I have seen the cooker tire options, but all options are 15" steel, which will add more weight. It would be super cool to have the exact same aluminum wheel 2 inches bigger.

Oh, and Jay did say a few times that he is a member of the more money than brains club! lol He states that when he's dealing with some of the exotic stuff in his garage. $3000 a wheel is lunch money to him, I reckon! 🙂
