Some have been in the USA since the 1940's and still can't speak English, are not US citizens but manage to get more handouts than other people who are US citizens.

If the handouts kept coming would you suddenly stop taking them? The point I'd like to make is why are we still taking my and your money and redistributing it to them? Every paycheck I get has taxes taken out of it before I receive my share and I bet that it is that way for you too. Why is it that this money is being used to provide living expenses for the welfare recipients? These programs are nothing more than buying votes, yet nothing is done to stop it.

My first change is that every recipient(No matter the age or level of competency) shall be tested for illegal drugs and substances. These tests are economical enough that they are available over the counter at any pharmacy so let's 'cut the fat' by instituting the 'Whizz Quiz". I bet we could cut the need in half by disqualifying the 'users". Fail the test and it'll be next month before your are eligible for the next one, I hope you saved some of last months hand out.

Next change would be that on delivery of the second child that we, the tax payer subsidizes, the tubes will be tied to prevent additional expense to the taxpayer. No more of this, the more kids the bigger the handout. Thereby helping them by not letting the expense of additional children 'hold them back'.

Anyone else have any suggestions?

That's the problem. Fall River Massachusetts gives the handouts to the drug addicts. If you go to the welfare office and tell them you are on drugs, you get free money. If you are not using but are a drug addict, they will tell you to get high before they will put you into rehab.

Teen pregnancy is the highest in the state in Fall River. The city is a dumpster.

The real issue is that it is time for a real change. It is time to reverse the policies that have been screwing us since the administration of FDR. The government has gotten too big and we need to trim the fat and stop redistributing the wealth. Then we can lay off government workers, etc. and go through a painful transition back to a time when the government was not responsible for the basic needs of it's citizens. Only then will we get back to a point where we can fix things. Will it happen? No. It won't...yet. Eventually, we will have no choice though as the social excesses of the Democrats will bankrupt the country very soon and there will be no money left to pay for it all. Either that, or we will see what happens when Atlas Shrugs as it will not be worth it to make real money any more. People will stop trying because they do not want their money stolen from them and given to the lazy. Then the burden of paying for this nonsense will fall to the middle class as the upper class where 5% of the nation pays over 70% of the taxes will cease to exist. They will go live elsewhere or stop trying to achieve. I know I would if I knew that a majority of the money I earned went to people who did nothing to deserve it or earn it.

You are correct but it could be worse, the 2008 WSOP main event winner was, Peter Eastgate, a kid from Denmark. He won $9,152,416.....I read that Denmark takes up to 75% of his winnings for taxes..

Kid wins over 9 million and ends up with a little over 2 million after taxes.

Well, Europe is a joke. They have bought into socialism hook, liner and sinker and their economy (economies?) are going down because of it. I still predict a worldwide collapse within 5 years that will make what is happening now look like a boom time. I think it is sad and pathetic that the government does nothing to create wealth or contribute to prosperity, but still thinks it is entitled to a huge chunk of whatever money someone, through their own industry and ingenuity, manages to make.
