I have been working on stripping the spray bomb primer off of my car. I'm the one who put it there, now I'm kicking myself in the *ss. I don't want to take it to bare metal, I just want to take off the spray can stuff. I have already taken a good bit off using an orbital sander and 220 discs, but now I'm tired of going though disc after disc after disc. Are there any other methods? I am afraid to use aircraft stripper as I don't want to go to bare metal as previously stated. I've been told that some acetones will only remove enamel and won't remove the lacquer underneath. Is this true? Here are some pictures of my progress-
