This is just because I will be “attempting “ to install headers and I noticed the pass side front bolt/ stud is broken. (305).
Looking at exhaust manifold bolt “kits” they all show 2 studs and 4 bolts ????? Where are studs and with bolts only 6 total????? I’m confused. ( not 8??) Thx for any explanation
 
I'm guessing. I don't recall what my old 307 had as that's been gone a long time. Also not sure how much different the 305 is. I'd say the front spot would be a stud so it would serve the purpose of mounting a bracket for the FEAD setup.
 
Chevy 305 uses 6 bolts per side.

If you are going to headers the only position you will need a stud would be on the first hole on the drivers side and that would be for the power steering bracket. Passenger side would use the short bolts.

Thank you. Had to easy out 4/12 . What a job! Headers were not in stock so in the meantime I put old manifolds back on. Awaiting a good deal now.
