I hate Neons. Lets face it, everyone does. I really hate it though when they put racing stripes on them. I see more neons with racing stripes then i do any other car. Do they actually think it is cool? Or is it suppose to be a joke? I hope so, but its been kinda played out now. I dont count the SRT-4 because it can actually be used for racing. The thing is, I dont see very many SRT-4s and even less with Racing stripes.

What do you guys hate?

20+in wheels on a G body, dead stock subcompacts with giant mufflers, big wings, body kits, excessive lowering, removal of A/C systems, etc.

Cavaliers seem to be the most common victim of these type of mods. Saw one a few months back that must have been wider than the car and about 1-2 feet from the trunk lid.

i see that all the time. ll admit, im still a ricer on top of having a gbody. but NEVER will i resort to flames or racing stripes on an import. i like my ricers clean haha.

X2 definately.

How about cold air intakes that actually are hot air intakes. The way they are desined with no heat sheilds, still in the engine compartments ends up sucking in hot air from the heat of the engine, not helping performance.

Also the tornado. Anyone remember that? I have heard in some cases to hurt fuel economy.

The thing about the ricers with giant mufflers is there is no real horsepower coming out of those engines. I really doubt they help performance, maybe sometimes they can hurt.

The huge wings look horrible. Im not positive of this but, isnt the only time those wings actually have effectiveness is somewhere over 100 mph, where the downforce is strong enough to have an effect?

i thought id reiterate a little on my ricerness. i have a 91 civic HB that is cleanly done and supercharged, even if i racing stripes were cool on this, this would be the only car to do it with, a car with actual power.

I dont hate, imports. Atleast not for the sake of just hating them. Hell, the two cars I already mentioned (Neon/Cavalier) were both american.

As long, as a car is tastefully done, or atleast done right. I could care less. Usually the guys that have the true imports, actually have them done right.

I dont have any problems with ricers like you. It sounds like you actually did your car right, its actually fast. Sounds like its probably a nice sleeper also.

i would have to agree with its no point for v4 to have mods. this girl asked me wats the difference. i told her that her car(neon, saturn, honda, etc) has a v4. my car has a v8 thats double the cylinders, double the power, which equal twice as fast. she understood. at least have a v6, but hey if it works for you, and when you race you win. then like the old heads say it "if it aint broke dont fix it" i'll just tell you like this any v4 car or v6 pull up. you wont see me.
