Those laws must be up north cause Texas is definately not that strict. But then again I also have antique license plates from Mississippi, in which case Mississippi is the most relaxed stated in this country concerning auto laws and speed. Even if you have regular plates down here, and your driving an old muscle car, they won't mess with you cause most of the cops drive hot rods, but they pull over all the ricers.

i had a buddy who got pulled over for the "cant hang crap from the rear view" law. it was a rosery and the cop(rookie)said he gonna get a ticket so my buddy said "call yer supervisor" and the cop refused. so my buddy called the non emergency police # and complained that he was getting a ticket for a religous item hanging from his rear view. so the supervisor came out and proceded to chew out the rookie cop. so he got off with no ticket and a written apology from the officer. my buddy has it framed in his dorm.

In Oregon you are required to have working windshield wipers but a windshield is not required.

Man thank god Indiana doesnt have stupid sh*t laws like that. We have no emission laws, no front license plate law, no hanging stuff from rear view law, nothing like that, really. Tint can be 30% but you can get away with 20% ( according to the people at the tint shop). Supposed to have cats, but no ones gonna mess with you about it. We do have seatbelt and helmet laws which are ridiculous. I wear both, and think its dumb not to, but why the hell should someone be required to wear them.

Here in Minneapolis, it is still illegal to drive a red car down Hennepin Avenue (the main drag connecting the "Uptown" & "Downtown" areas).

I don't think they've enforced that one for a while...

Actually there is no Federal seat belt law. No helmet law either, or speed limits for that matter. The federal government will withhold certain funding if states do not enact them... a round about way the federal government has to enact laws they have no authority to enact. You either enact them or we withhold money. I believe New Hampshire is the only state to not enact seatbelt laws.

This one's funny
It is considered an offense to attempt to have sex with one's dog. (Crete)
An attempt is illegal, but is it legal to succeed? But it's.... YOUR DOG. :?
