In the states, Canada too now you can sue for anything with a good enough lawyer. Gbodys crumple like soda cans after the bumpers but i think any bump to cause serious damage wouldnt be much different with stock door hinges.

statements like that loose court cases all the time...if you want to build them and sell them go ahead, I was only trying to point out the pit falls and one law suit won or lost will be a life changer

Agreed, nothing like a 4 ft door swinging out at a 90 degree

Could you imagine the door popping open on the highway because of a faulty latch?

I believe that's is the real reason for why they're called suicide doors... Because sometimes they would fly open and rip clean off or do some other terrible damage to your car.

A thing about the safety of it... What about jeeps? People drive around in those all the time with either fabric doors, or no doors at all... And judging by the stock half doors I had on my 99 Wrangler Sahara I don't even think the standard doors would do much for you in a collision getting hit from the side. You don't see people suing Best Top, and Quadratec for making doors that won't save you in a side collision.

And I like the look of the suicide doors... Nice car SuicidedRegal. Not something I'd really want to do if it were my car, but it does look cool.

Yeah I agree with you. BTW way to be original with those wheels on your car & tinted windows. Only seen that a thousand times. IJS & EAD & STFU

I wasn't talking about making these & selling them I made them for myself. I guarantee you with all the extra bracing &it reinforcement it would hold up to an impact better than the stock hinges. Hinges themselves are 5/8" thick & all the reinforments are atleast 1/4" plate or bigger. How could anybody even say anything without even knowing what I did?

all production cars are crash tested before they are certified to be sold to the general public. This is done even though the cars are built to the specs with the material that structural engineers have provided by doing their calculations. On paper alot of things look good. Unless you're going to crash test your car you cannot say how it's going to react.
