Last time I ordered stuff from Summit it came through UPS and USPS. It was two seperate things and the one through UPS was from a vendor. Ive ordered things from Summit for years. They always used UPS. The last order took close to 10 days to get through the PO. I ordered the kickdown bracket from them yesterday afternoon. When I placed the order I specified I wanted the shipment to go UPS. I usually get them in 3 days. The woman said no problem.
Just got an email with the tracking number. They sent it through the mail. I have a feeling Im going to start buying from local places. Their service is starting to suck. Covid or not.

You can try Jegs as an alternative I don't have issues with either one, Fed Ex and UPS when I get something from Summit.

while your waiting for the part get on the list of complaints against summit

I don’t have issues with Jegs or Summit. No matter who they ship through. I buy almost everything from eBay for the same price or less than either of them. Different vendors but no issues. I don’t want to break any site rules by posting eBay vendor names but there are about 5 that I use for just about everything with zero complaints.

I order quite a bit from summit. Since I live a couple hours away, as long as I order before 9 pm, the parts are on my doorstep the next day around noon. Every time. Unless the Ohio store is out of stock with the part. Same thing from jegs. I live about an hour from them.

I prefer Jegs because years back when I was ordering parts for my 74 firebird they were a few bucks more than summit, but we're donating money to some charity for like orphans or veterans or something. I forget the details but it made me have a good feeling about them as a company. Haven't had a "bad" experience with either but I prefer Jegs... I prefer Speedway over both though.

I wish the big places had more turbo Buick stuff. They have virtually nothing. The few places that do are killing me with the prices... $500-700 for a downpipe? Come on guys.

Jeg's website sucks, and they went to drop shipping a few years ago, it seems like. The last order took around 2 weeks. Summit sure isn't getting better. Chalk it up to corporate buzzwords like "process improvement", micromanagement, etc. Those never have their intended effect.
