uhhh ok. The print magazine has been on a collision course with extinction for some time. Every magazine is 2/3 - 3/4 ads anyway. It's the only way they stayed afloat this long. If they can play the "save the planet" card then they'll use that as a reason besides "our business model is old and failing"
I am pretty aggravated with this myself. I enjoy getting the magazines.
i keep them at my bedside and read an article or two to clear my head before going to sleep. its not the same reading it on a screen, and i get aggravated after a while reading on my pc/laptop/phone. there are also so many other distractions on the computer/phone.

I will miss them. Especially the "Barn Find" stories by Jerry Heasley in Musclecar Review. I'd rather hold a magazine in my hand, than a device. As mentioned by someone else, at least Hemmings is still in the print business.
Maybe I'll finally stop getting renewal offers from car-craft. I was a loyal subscriber for about 20 years but I finally let it lapse this year since every month was basically the same issue, nothing but turbo LS builds and swaps and reviews of the latest and greatest high dollar parts for your LS. No thank you. I know a lot of guys think that LS's are the greatest invention since the wheel and that's fine but I personally have absolutely ZERO interest in them. I miss the old days when they ran articles on going to the u pull it cutting out a 455 with a sawzall dropping it in some thing cool and flogging it. Rant over.
Dang, I'm old and hate change, but haven't missed the print magazines since my last sub ended in 2006. Too many late models and "budget" hahaha builds that were in no way "budget" for my interest
As an example of being old and hating change, I do not get how people use a cell phone as a computer....way too tiny of a screen for me. Heck, I watch youtube vids on my TV
My bathroom library will have to go through some major revisions now....lol
30 years ago it was a Saturday tradition of mine to go to the bookstore and buy stacks of magazines to read over the month. Plenty of car titles then. The grocery store had one aisle of just magazines and paperbacks. But times change and most of the magazines are gone or going. Well I guess Readers Digest will have to return to my “library” from now on....sigh
