i have a 1980 El Camino with a 350ci/350T i was also looking for a good full suspension kit. mine has Air Shocks in the rear right now. i do like the adjustable ride height. so i was thinking about a Air Ride kit. most other kits seem to run $1600 which is in my ball park. i was looking at a Hotchkis kit but i'm looking for input. thanks

You would be better off money wise buying the parts you need individually rather than buying a kit, the Hotchkiss stuff seems to work good but is way too overpriced for me, I did some research on the Monte SS site and bought Moog springs front and rear, edelbrock boxed rear control arms, Monte SS front & rear swaybars and Bilstein shocks. Also a Just suspension rebuild kit to replace all of the old originals. By buying the sway bars used you will be able to get all of this stuff listed for less than half the price of the Hotchkiss kit. Also you will be able to pick the springs you need based on the handling characteristics you want and engine size rather than buying a one size fits all spring.
Hope this helps
Dave

Forgot to mention that I got air bags inside the Moog rear coils to replace the factory air shocks, these work pretty good and I put all the lines in the factory location with the air valve in the gas door like the original.
