Ok so I'm new to the cutting coil thing and need some advice. First ill start with what I got
78 monte carlo with a mild 350
17in. Black Cragar soft 8s 245/45 275/40 Falkens
Moog 5658 and 5409
All new moog bushings balljoints and steering components in a box

My questions, the rear is dropped perfectly where I want it with 5409 the front has not been installed and I know they won't be low enough to even out so cutting is in order I read this forum constantly and see half a coil full coil etc. But how much is half maybe a stupid question but I don't wanna go to far the first cut a picture or dia gram something showing where to cut would help with my confusion

Also I'm planning on installing allthese new parts at the same time and front and rear control arm bushing I need help with any ideas I have a balljoint press and I heard you can use it for bushings people say remove them amd have a shop press them but the how do get to one on the rearend housing? One of those is completely shot
Any help would be much appreciated thanks in advance

i think we needs pics!

u don't need a pic. at the coil end go completely around the coil going up stop when you line up with the coil end underneath. now go back half way there is you're half coil go a little further back so you don't cut too much at first always leave some room for adjustment

I think he meant pics of the car..... But some would be nice of the finished product seeing as im looking at the moog springs for dropping my GP a bit.Let us know how it works out 😀
