It will be replacing the stock chevy 305 I have done many swaps from like chevy 305 to 350 and that kinda thing just never from one manufaturer to another.

If you don't get a good anwer here you can also check at www.oldspower.com. Might even be a sticky as its a common upgrade over there and they have mostly gbodys.

So you want to take out an SBC and install the Olds 350? Good for you. You'll need the frame mounts for a 307. The ones from either a G-body or a B-body will work. Also use the rubber motor mounts for the 307. All accessory brackets are different between the Olds and SBC, so you'll either need the ones from the 76 or use 307 parts. The 350 and 307 accessory brackets look different, but either can be used as a complete set. You also need the water pump and pulleys that go with the bracket set you're using. Olds had three different water pump lengths and the pulleys go with the pump length. Finally, you'll need an Olds starter.

sweet should be too bad then i have a complete olds 350 sitting in my shop that has been doing nothing. I took it out of an 86 olds cutlass supreme brougham i was given, before the car was crushed. The only reason i haven't used it is because i had no transmission for it (well i do but after rebuilding it myself i can't seem to get reverse to work) anyway a buddy from the shop next door has a bunch of olds parts as he took the 350 out of his after he cracked the block, and swapped in a sbc. So anyway he has gold heads, headers, carbs, starters, a trans, and a bunch of other odds and ends for $250 (he wants to run his new car at the races) and i figured it was a good deal, and would allow me to puts olds power into my olds (even tho the numbers matching chevy engine is in there right now)

What number is on those heads from your buddy? It is on the lower left hand corner on the head. Who knows, you might be getting better ones than the ones you have now.

to be honest i am not completly sure what the numbers are on my buddies heads, i will try to get the numbers of the but they are goldheads with titanium keepers and the larger valves. The numbers on my heads that i could find read 411 828. Oh and the numbers on my block i believe were 395558.

On quick question what are the benifits of a carb spacer???? I have an open plenum spacer the i got for free with an edelbrock carb was it worth puttin on my car??? (by the way the car runs a hell of alot better with the new edelbrock of the quadrajet the the quad was made for a 350 and was installed on a 305)

I believe it lets the air and fuel mixture cool a bit.
