Do you think I could control the twisting of my car by putting back in the rear sway bar? Thanks

Why would your remove an important suspension part and then expect the car will work properly? Hot rodders baffle me sometimes.

Did it used to be in their? If it was, was it not twisting before or are you adding it on?

adding a rear sway bar will help keep you're car level so yes in some ways it will keep you're car from twisting. How ever the stock rear sway bars these cars came with did soooooooo very little. They were hardly worth even installing. There are several sway bar manufactures out there. What I did was because I had a bunch of dodge torsion bars from those old pos big block dodge cars kicking around so I figured if it can hold up an anchor then it can prob hold my car level. I cut the torsion bar down, cut some half inch plate welded the tosion bar to nit and bolted it to my lower trailing arms in the stock location . I sure seams to work good now some three years later.

If you are trying to get rid of twist on your launch ( I'm assuming you are drag racing) then you best bet is to install an Anti Roll Bar. The ARB will weld in between the rear frame rails an attach to the axle tubes on the rear end housing. My factory sway bar did nothing for the twist at launch.

Pics of the kit I have on my car from TRZ

I had some pics after it was installed but can't find the right now. If you contact Cutlassracer on here he might have some he can post. Hope this helps...

What kind of twist are you referring to? What is the car's primary application?

The quickest and fastest G-body guys all run some form of weld in Anti-Roll bar like Busdriver mentioned. In my opinion, the TRZ piece is the best design currently on the market. On busdrivers car, he used to yank the left front way off the ground while the right front was still touching and the car was inconsistent only running high 1.50s in 60ft. After the TRZ weld in ARB, we have been able to get consistent mid 1.40s in 60ft (on a 275 MT drag radial) with a best of 1.401. This is with no roll cage or roll bar in the car as well! The car leaves perfectly flat now.

do you think the arb will work on a chris altston fab-9 housing and do you know what they cost? i would like to get one if it can be made to fit....jesse

Being a weld in ARB gives you some flexibility on the installation. Depending on what types of modifications you have in that area can determine the bars location. We have mounted them both in front and behind the centerline of the rear axle depending on the room available.

Most G-bodies require they be mounted behind. Do you have any pics of your current set-up maybe we will be able to advise you on that. The ARB itself runs around $325 and should be tig welded in ( it's made from chromoly steel ) for superior strength. Does you rear axle have the rectangular bracing across the back? If you should decide that's the route you would like to go, let us know and we can ship one to you.....
