anyone here have a syclone / typhoon 4.3L turbo in their G body? or know of anyone that has done it?

just wondering since I have an opportunity to buy one now..wonder if everything will fit with A/C and other random questions

thanks

That engine would fit with no issues. You may have to customize some of the exhaust and such.

I have actually had the idea of swapping the AWD drivetrain into a GBody  I think it would be awesome

awd turbo gbody? do we dare dream of such insanity? Someone has to do this. I wouldnt think it would actually be that hard. Exhaust would be the main issue, definitely some suspension work too.

I have a syclone sitting behind the garage. It was totaled a few years back and i bought it on the cheap. This idea has crossed my mind before, and i would really love to start a cool new project anyhow. I just have to find another donor g-body.

DO IT :!:

Most everything from the front end of that Syclone should bolt right into the GBody  A custom crossmember will most definitely have to be made.

I wanna do this so bad

im seriously considering it..its a complete engine with the turbo, intercooler, etc and even with the computer..but its been sitting dry to 11 years..$1200 for the thing hes asking..what do you guys think about that?

thanks

For the whole car :?: $1200 for an unknown condition turbo 4.3L V6 ... NO  I wouldn't give more than $500

i think itd be worth between 800 and 1000 depending on condition. But it should definitely be done, just because thats a car GM probably wishes it could have made. And you would have something that just about no one else has.

Exhaust would be a piece of cake compared to the chassis modifications. How are you going to get he front half shafts around the frame and engine crossmember?
