T Top install

so i have priced around and t tops from a 3rd generation camaro (the whole top) is about 200 bucks, glass and all. im wondering if this would be a feasible approach to putting in ttops. if the measurements turn out right they should fit right in with minimal welding. and yes i know the top is an integral blah blah blah... but half the car is rusted anyway so yeah.

Are you talking a camaro to camaro swap? Then yes, that's doable.

An F-body to G-body roof swap....yeah, keep dreaming. That would be a body mans nightmare!

replacing the whole roof with a convertible top is nothing similar to cutting a portion out and replacing it with a roof that has a different contour.

Why not look for a g body car with t tops like a Monte Carlo ss? The body line would be so much closer and easier to work with. That is just a thought.
