I'm trying to figure out what to do with the T5 I have. I'm thinking of upgrading it with G force gears which run about $1,300. I can't find them up in Canada so that means I pay taxes, duty and other charges to get it over the border. Then if I have any warranty issues it's a waiting period to get that resolved.
I have 2 T5 WC's and there's a transmission builder who can build me a G force with one of my trannies for $2,000 taxes in and I thro in my other transmission. He also has cryogenically treated gear kits that would run me $1,500 using one of my trannies. I don't know who makes this kit and if I ever wanted to sell the transmission a G force transmission would sell easier and for a higher amount than a transmission that I say has a cryogenically treated gear kit. I know he's got to be getting the G force kits cheaper than what I'd pay for them and a T5 transmission is simple to rebuild so the labor he'd be charging including the spare transmission I'm giving him is over $1,000 which I ain't going to be doing
I could also check to see what the best price is for a G force transmission from him and sell the 2 T5 WC trannys I have since they are hard to find I should get $600 a piece. They both need some work but only a few dollars in parts and within an afternoon they'll both be ready to go. Or I can see if he'll sell me a G force kit.
If anyone here knows where I can get a better price on the G force gear set please let me know
