I found the tach for sale on JEGs for $266 plus l got $25 coupon to go with it. It helped someone told my wife l can’t run the car without it. I’m going to do it.
do you mind posting a pic of how you mounted yours. i just picked one up and have been mulling over the best spot to place it. i dont want to put it somewhere that will permanently ruin the dash if I replace or decide to move.I like them. Buicks don't have a great option for a factory tach, the only ones that Regals got were the digital ones that came in turbo Regals. I thought about doing a hood tach but I didn't like the way it looked with my turbo hood. I ended up putting an Autometer tach on the dash and attached it to the side of the gauge surround so if I ever want to remove it I just have to replace the surround. I went with a short sweep tach so it would kinda match the speedometer.

Probably the least permanent place to install a tach would be on the steering column using a large hose clamp or something similar that way you are not drilling holes anywhere.i dont want to put it somewhere that will permanently ruin the dash if I replace or decide to move.
Thanks man. Appreciate it!This is the best one I have on hand, I'll get some better ones later tonight.

Plus as a safety issue you don't want to be looking down at a tach when you should be looking forward.I think it would hit my knee because on the regal dash comes down a bit and im 6’3 so my legs are already kinda close for comfort
